Message: The Days - From Passover to Resurrection "And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Gen 1: 5 KJ) For centuries people have argued about what day Christ was crucified, placed in the tomb, and on what day He rose again. Now the Lord has answered the questions Himself through His word. This has been quite a revelation! We have not been counting the days the way God counts days. In the book of Genesis this is established. Each day when God talks about completing his work he says, "And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Gen 1: 5 KJ)) He states it the same way for the second day, third day, etc. If you look up the definition of "day" in Strong's Concordance #H3117 you will find it means "from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next."(Strong's p.1507) This is important information! Why did God do this? Because it was very dark! There were no street lamps. People had to function in the daylight hours. Their lives were based on agriculture. Below is a picture of God's structure for how the days work: This also means that sunset is the END of one day and also the BEGINNING of the next! Christ died on Wednesday the 14th day of Abib according to Lev. 23: 5. First, Passover has to be established based on Leviticus 23: 5 which says: "Leviticus 23:5 (King James Version) 5In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover."(KJ) Then, you can establish the days of the week. Here's how the days went: Tuesday Sunset ---------------- Wednesday Sunset - the 14th day Abib. Passover The Last Supper takes place and Christ is crucified, dies, and He is put in the tomb at sunset (This will be explained - read further) of Wednesday evening. His body had to be taken down, because the next day was a "high" day - The Feast of Unleavened Bread and no work was to be done that day. "Deuteronomy 16:6 (King James Version) 6But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt."(KJ) Is this talking about at sunset? NO. Where did He put His name? On the cross! It's talking about when the Lord made the sun dark that day according to Luke 23: 44 - 46: "Luke 23:44-46 (King James Version) 44And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."(KJ) "John 19:19-22 (King James Version) 19And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 21Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22Pilate answered, What I have written I have written."(KJ) "Exodus 12:6 (King James Version) 6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening."(KJ) "Luke 22:7 (King James Version) 7Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed."(KJ) "John 19:31 (King James Version) 31The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."(KJ) The women follow and see the sepulchre & have every intention of returning after the high day sabbath, but the Romans have different ideas. They make the tomb secure Matthew 27: 62 - 66 and make it impossible for the women to return to anoint His body until after the third day. "Luke 23:55-56 (King James Version) 55And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."(KJ) Remember, the Feast of Unleavened Bread would begin that evening after sunset. No work could be done that day - Exodus 12: 16. "Exodus 12:16 (King James Version) 16And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you."(KJ) "Matthew 27:62-66 (King James Version) 62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. 65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. 66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch."(KJ) So, when is He put in the tomb in the first place to begin the three day count? The answer is in 1 Corinthians 15: 20 - 24 "1 Corinthians 15:20-24 (King James Version) 20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power."(KJ) The scripture says that when Christ was Risen he became the First Fruit! Lev. 23:11 says the Feast of First Fruits was celebrated on the "day after the Sabbath." That is when the offering would have been made! This does not mean it was a Sunday! "The day after the Sabbath" would have been from Sunset on Saturday through Sunset on Sunday. "Leviticus 23:10-11 (King James Version) 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it."(KJ) If you look up "Firstfruit" for this scripture in Strong's Concordance you find: #H7225 - "re sit from the same as H7218; the first, in place, time, order or rank (specifically a firstfruit): - beginning, chief, chiefest, first, firstfruits, first part, first time, principal thing." (Strong's p. 1571) #H7218 - "ro s from an unused root apparently meaning to shake; the head (as most easily shaken), whether literally or figuratively (in many applications, of place time, rank, etc.): - band, beginning, captain, chapiter, chief, chiefest place, chief man, chief things, company, end, every man, excellent, first, forefront, head, behead, height, high, on high, highest part, high priest, lead, poor, principal, ruler, sum top." (Strong's p. 1571) The Lord Jesus Christ is our great high priest! "Hebrews 4:14-15 (King James Version) 14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."(KJ) The Lord Jesus Christ is our chief cornerstone! "Ephesians 2:19-22 (King James Version) 19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."(KJ) So Christ HAD to be Resurrected and lifted up as a firstfruit offering to God and it had to begin at the first moment of "the day after the Sabbath" which was at sunset of Saturday - the 18th day Abib. Since He was Resurrected the "day after the sabbath" we have to work backwards to find the answer as to when He was placed in the tomb. He had to be in the tomb three full days and nights and in order for Him to be Risen at sunset the "day after the Sabbath" He had to be placed in the tomb and the tomb closed at sunset - that day was Passover. Tuesday Sunset ---------------- Wednesday Sunset - the 14th day Abib. Passover The Last Supper takes place and Christ is crucified, dies, and His body had to be taken down from the cross before sunset, because the next day was a "high" day - The Feast of Unleavened Bread and no work was to be done that day. In order for three days to be complete He was in the tomb at sunset of Wednesday evening and has to remain in the tomb until sunset three days later. At sunset of the third day He is Risen! This would have been a Saturday at sunset the beginning of the 18th day Abib. Wednesday at Sunset --------- Thursday Sunset This is the 15th Abib. This is the first day the body is in the tomb. It is also the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The women don't come this day because it's a high day and a day of rest, they have every intention of coming the next day, but they have no idea what the Romans will do. The Romans make the tomb secure for three days. "Matthew 27:62-66 (King James Version) 62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch."(KJ) Thursday Sunset ------------------- Friday Sunset This is the 16th Abib. This is the second day in the tomb. The women can't come, even if they wanted to, because the Romans are standing watch and have made it secure until the third day. Friday Sunset ------------ Saturday Sunset This is the 17th Abib This is the third day in the tomb. Here the women had to rest again for the regular sabbath. Note above: it is a Saturday sabbath. Plus the tomb was still being guarded by the Romans until this day - Saturday at sunset. Remember, when sunset was occurring - one day was ending and a new day beginning. So, Christ is Risen both on the Sabbath, because it's the end of the Sabbath at sunset of the 17th Abib - this fulfills the scripture that says: "Matthew 12:8 (King James Version) 8For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."(KJ) and He is also Risen on "the day after the Sabbath," because it's the beginning of the new day of the 18th day Abib at sunset. This also fulfills the firstfruit offering in the book of Leviticus 23: 10 - 12. All orchestrated and created by God's hand ! Why did He wait until sunset at the end of the Sabbath to make Himself "Lord of the Sabbath"? Because it had to meet BOTH requirements - "Lord even of the sabbath day"(Matt. 12: 8 KJ) and the First Fruit offering in the book of Leviticus 23: 10 -12. "Leviticus 23:10-12 (King James Version) 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD."(KJ) Saturday Sunset ------------------ Sunday sunset This is the 18th Abib At Sunset He is Risen - this fulfills Lev. 23:10 - 12 for the First fruit offering. Since Christ said: Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."(KJ) To Review: Sunset Tuesday ------------ Sunset Wednesday - He's crucified, dies and is put in the tomb at Sunset on Wed. He has to be in the heart of the earth 3 days and nights. 14th day Abib Sunset Wednesday -------- Sunset Thursday - First day in the tomb 15th day Abib Sunset Thursday ----------- Sunset Friday - Second day in the tomb 16th Day Abib Sunset Friday ---------------- Sunset Saturday - 3rd day in the tomb - At sunset His three days in the heart of the earth are completed. 17th Day Abib. He is Resurrected here at sunset and it fulfills the scripture in Matthew 12: 8 which says He is "Lord even of the sabbath day." The Saturdays appearing in blue are the same day and BOTH are at sunset! Sunset Saturday ------------ Sunset Sunday - At sunset on Saturday He is Resurrected! Likewise He is resurrected at the beginning of "the day after the Sabbath" here to fulfill Leviticus 23:10 -12 This Resurrection sunset can be thought of as both the end of the 17th day Abib (the Sabbath) or the beginning of the 18th Day Abib ("the day after the Sabbath.") The Lord IS our Passover lamb sacrificed on the cross for our sins. He IS the blood (the juice) shed on the cross for our sins to take us out of bondage to the enemy (Pharoah/satan). If you look up "blood" in Strong's you find that every Old Testament reference for blood refers to # H1818 p. 1487 and every New Testament reference refers to #G 129 p. 1600 and they both mean the same thing "the juice of grapes!" The 15th day Abib was His first day in the tomb - the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Christ was the Bread without leaven- He IS the bread made without the defilement of yeast (His sinless body). If you do research into how yeast is made you will find that natural contaminants enter into the flour. It feeds on sugar. http://www.lesaffreyeastcorp.com/SoY/story.html These "contaminants" according to Christ are the ways of this world. "1 Corinthians 5:6-8 (King James Version) 6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." (KJ) If you look up every definition of "unleavened" in the Old Testament you'll find this: Strong's H4682 "massa from H 4711 in the sense of greedily devouring for sweetness; properly sweetness; concretely sweet (i.e. not soured or bittered with yeast); specifically an unfermented cake or loaf, or (elliptically) the festival of Passover (because no leaven was then used): -unleavened, unleavened bread, unleavened cake, without leaven."(Strong's p.1532) If you look up every definition of "unleavened" in the New Testament you'll find this: Strong's G 106 "azymos from G 1 (as a negative particle) and G 2219; unleavened, i.e. (figuratively) uncorrupted;" (Strong's p.1600) Note it says from G1 - the definition of G1 is: Strong's G1 "Aa of Semitic origin; the first letter of the alphabet; figuratively only (from its use as a numeral) the first. a an (usually before a vowel) also used in compounds ( as a contraction from 427) in the sense of privation; so in many words beginning with this letter; occasionally in the sense of union ( as a contraction of G 260): - Alpha." (Strong's p.1599) He is the Alpha and the Omega! He says in His word: "Luke 22:19-22 (King James Version) 19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you"(KJ) The Lord Jesus Christ equated leaven with sin throughout the scriptures. When He showed us how to have communion and to break bread - that's how we were supposed to do it - with unleavened bread - Alpha. "Leviticus 23:4-8 (King James Version) 4These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover. 6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein."(KJ) Christ's death also satisfies the First Fruit offering for the Feast of First Fruits in Lev. 23: 9-14. The Feast of First Fruits in the Old Testament was based upon agriculture. There was no particular time set for it to be celebrated, because it was based on when the harvest would be reaped. "Leviticus 23:9-14 (King James Version) 9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 13And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings."(KJ) The first fruit sheaf was waved on "the day after the Sabbath" - meaning a Saturday evening at sunset until sunset on Sunday. Christ was Risen on a Saturday evening at sunset - the First Fruit of God. The best He had to offer - His own son. 1 Corinthians 15: 20 - 23 says it! "1 Corinthians 15:20-23 (King James Version) 20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."(KJ) Why? Go back to Genesis: In the book of Genesis on the first day He created light. "Genesis 1:1-5 (King James Version) Genesis 1 1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." (KJ) That light was the light of God Himself : "John 1:1-5 (King James Version) John 1 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."(KJ) On the third day He created the land - Earth, the sea, the grass, the herb yielding seed, the fruit tree yielding fruit and each bringing forth seed after their kind. All of it was created and grew BEFORE the sun and moon were ever created. They were all growing by the light of God Himself! The sun and moon were not created until the fourth day. The Lord Jesus Christ planted His seeds and brought forth His First Fruits during His ministry upon the earth and through His death, and resurrection. It would bear fruit which would bring forth seed and fruit after HIS kind and bring forth a plentiful harvest for our children and our children's children! It is His promise to us! He IS the lamb, the grain, the lamb without defect, the flour, the wine! "1 Corinthians 15:20-23 (King James Version) 20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."(KJ) "Leviticus 23:9-14 (King James Version) 9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 14And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings."(KJ) When He died and appeared to the apostles and to the women He entered the land as a resurrected Savior and Lord (Just like it says in Lev. 23: 9 & 10) : "Leviticus 23:9-10 (King James Version) 9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:"(KJ) He had already reaped His harvest - the harvest of mankind which was yet to come. Planned since the beginning of time! The salvation of all mankind was already accomplished at the cross and made available to all mankind. They only have to come to Him for it! Christ was Resurrected on the 18th day Abib, at sunset on Saturday - the "day after the sabbath" which lasted through Sunday at sunset. The Feast of Weeks began "the day after the sabbath" too - also computed the same way - from sunset on Saturday until sunset on Sunday. (This is what is now celebrated as Pentecost.) He IS the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost. According to the book of Leviticus 23: 15 - 16 the Feast of Weeks "Leviticus 23:15-16 (King James Version) 15And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD."(KJ) In the Old Testament the First Fruit offering and the Feast of Weeks offering were based on agriculture and when the harvest came forth, but when Christ died for our sins He fulfilled all of the Old Testament requirements for those offerings. So, the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected "the day after the sabbath" and He Himself was the wave offering given on the fourth day of unleavened bread - the 18th day Abib - at sunset that Saturday which ran through Sunday at sunset. The count to Pentecost began then and was calculated 7 full weeks or 50 days up to "the day after" the seventh sabbath" This also was a Saturday at sunset until Sunday at sunset. He created and was the perfect First Fruit who reaped what He had sown 50 days later with the gift of the perfect Holy Spirit. Perfection could only reap perfection - the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! He fulfilled All of the offerings. He is the "beginning and the ending" of the count to Pentecost! Now, Christ's day of death will always be the 14th Abib. His Resurrection will always be both the evening at sunset at the end of the 17th day Abib (the Sabbath) and the beginning of the 18th Day Abib ("the day after the Sabbath.")The count to Pentecost will always be 50 days from that day. These dates should never have been assigned specific days of the week. The days will vary from year to year. "Leviticus 23:15-22 (King James Version) 15And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. 18And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. 19Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God."(KJ) He is the Alpha and the Omega! "Revelation 1:8 (King James Version) 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."(KJ) He IS our Trumpet in the Feast of Trumpets! "Revelation 1:10-11 (King James Version) 10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."(KJ) "1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (King James Version) 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."(KJ) "Leviticus 23:23-25 (King James Version) 23And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD."(KJ) He IS our Atonement! He ALREADY made atonement for us on the cross! When we confess He cleanses us! "Leviticus 23:26-32 (King James Version) 26And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath."(KJ) He IS our tabernacle! "Hebrews 9:11-12 (King James Version) 11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." (KJ) "Luke 17:21 (King James Version) 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."(KJ) "Ephesians 2:19-22 (King James Version) 19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."(KJ) I showed you how the Lord Jesus Christ was the first light in this world. The Lord Jesus Christ continues to illuminate us with His word! He is the only light we need and in the end. He will be the only light we have! "Revelation 21-22:5 (King James Version) Revelation 21 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 22 1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."(KJ) I pray that all of you will be there! Message: Pastors, This has been quite a revelation! We have not been counting days the way God counts days. In the book of Genesis this is established. Each day God talks about completing his work he says, "And the evening and the morning were the" first day, second day, third day, etc. If you look up the definition of "day" in Strong's Concordance #H3117 you will find it means "from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next" Christ died on Wednesday the 14th day of Abib. First I had to establish Passover based on Exodus and Deuteronomy and then I could establish the days of the week. Here's how the days went: Tuesday Sunset of the 13th of Abib ---------------- Wednesday Sunset of the 14th Abib. The first night of Passover "Deuteronomy 16:6 (King James Version) 6But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt."(KJ) "Exodus 12:6 (King James Version) 6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening."(KJ) "Luke 22:7 (King James Version) 7Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed."(KJ) The Last Supper takes place and Christ is crucified, and put in the tomb before sunset of Wednesday evening, because the next day was a "high" day. "John 19:31 (King James Version) 31The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."(KJ) The women follow and see the sepulchre & have every intention of returning after the high day sabbath, but the Romans have different ideas. No work could be done that day. The body has to be taken down before the "high" day - the Feast of Unleavened Bread - Read Deut. 16: Wednesday Sunset of the 14th Abib --------- Thursday Sunset of the 15th This is the 15th Abib. This is the first day the body is in the tomb. It is also the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The women don't come this day because it's a high day and a day of rest, they have every intention of coming the next day, but they have no idea what the Romans will do. "Exodus 12:16 (King James Version) 16And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you."(KJ) The Romans didn't honor the sabbath so they make the tomb secure for the three days by having guards stand watch. "Matthew 27:62-66 (King James Version) 62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch."(KJ) Thursday Sunset of the 15th Abib ------------------- Friday Sunset of the 16th This is the 16th Abib. This is the second day in the tomb. The women can't come, even if they wanted to, because the Romans are standing watch and have made it secure until the third day. Friday Sunset of the 16th Abib ------------ Saturday Sunset of the 17th Abib This is the third day in the tomb. Here the women had to rest again for the regular sabbath. Note above: it is a Saturday sabbath. Plus the tomb was still being guarded by the Romans. Saturday Sunset of the 17th Abib ------------------ Sunday sunset of the 18th Abib Since Christ said: "Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."(KJ) The three days are completed on Saturday after sunset. He was resurrected Saturday after sunset. The scriptures in Leviticus say that the Festival of First Fruits was on the day after the sabbath (which would be a Saturday at sunset through Sunday at sunset), so Christ's resurrection fulfilled this requirement. It had to be on a Saturday just after sunset! Look! Sunset Tuesday ------------ Sunset Wednesday - He's crucified by Sunset on Wed. Sunset Wednesday -------- Sunset Thursday - First day in the tomb Sunset Thursday ----------- Sunset Friday - Second day in the tomb Sunset Friday ---------------- Sunset Saturday - 3rd day in the tomb - just after sunset on Saturday He is resurrected to complete the three days Sunset Saturday ------------ Sunset Sunday - Here on Sunday morning they find Him His body gone from the tomb. He had already risen Saturday after sunset. This resurrection lines up with the book of Leviticus 23 and the celebration of the Old Testament feasts. The Feast of First Fruits was determined the same way Saturday at sunset to Sunday at sunset. The Feast of Weeks which later is Pentecost also is celebrated Saturday at sunset to Sunday at sunset. This didn't change the sabbath to Sunday. Constantine did that of his own volition. "John 20: 1 1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre."(KJ) This day is what helped me to count backwards and determine the days of the week after I had already established the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread days. "Luke 24:1-12 (King James Version) Luke 24 1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8And they remembered his words, 9And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. 11And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. 12Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass."(KJ) "Mark 16:1-9 (King James Version) Mark 16 1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 7But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. 8And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. 9Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils."(KJ) "Matthew 28:1-10 (King James Version) Matthew 28 1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me."(KJ) "Matthew 28:11-15 (King James Version) 11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day."(KJ) I had to adjust my teaching on the sabbath and the Feasts to reflect this. Message: Pastors, When I worked to gather signatures to fight for the definition of marriage as being only between a man and a woman (Along with Delegate Dwyer, MD) there were certain rules that had to be followed for the petition to be valid. One, it required the signature, printed name, and complete address of each person. It also required that everyone who witnessed signatures be at the table and watch the signature being written. It also required that we initial each signature on the petition. Then my personal information and signature had to be at the bottom of each sheet I witnessed. A petition is just like a contract. It requires a signature to be valid. Those are Legal, Congressional, and Governmental regulations NOT mine. Why is the signature and the witnessing of it important? Because that way no one can falsify a petition. Because no one can put your name on something that you aren't in agreement with. It's just like any other contract. Nothing, a contract, or any other agreement, will not stand up in a court of law - unless your signature is on it. A petition is the same way! So is a letter! Think about it, if these rules weren't in place someone could write a petition for anything, take addresses out of the phone book, then try to shove it by Congress. This way, both citizens and the government are protected. Ministries have been acting in ignorance and lying to the American people in ignorance by suggesting that they sign on-line petitions and that they will do something. They will not stand up in government nor in a court of law. They don't protect anyone! They do not prove that the individual whose name is on that paper is the actual person who signed it. That's why your signature has power! You see, I have been involved and have learned something about the process and how it works. It was not something I made up! God knew that! He also knows that as a former school teacher I taught government to my students! The attached letter will help you and protect you! It was God given! I also know that there are certain things that a pastor cannot get involved with politically. I am willing to bring this as a petition to any church that is willing to accept me! I ask Lord Jesus Christ that you will provide for me to enable me to do so! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! Blessings! Anita Hiltz President Barack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Washington, D.C. 20500 Dear President Obama, Everyone in this country has the right to certain freedoms. They have the right to choose how they want to live their lives and practice their religious beliefs. I have chosen to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. As a Christian, this also means that I cannot do certain things. I cannot kill through abortions (Exodus 20:13), I cannot marry or be involved in homosexual relationships (Gen 19, & 1 Cor 6: 12 - 20, Gal 5:19 - 21), and I cannot participate in gambling through a lottery because it's not trusting in God to provide (Psalm 20: 7 - 9, Exodus 20: 3). As a Christian, we are to love one another. I do not hate anyone and frankly, I do not like the behaviors of extremist groups (i.e. Nazism, Ku Klux Klan, etc.) that would act out or condone hateful actions or hurt others. Some people don't realize that one can kill and do great harm with the words of their mouths too. I don't in anyway want to be connected with them. In fact, the Lord says in 1 Corinthians 5: 9 - 11 " I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat." (NIV) I can't control what others do and the choices they make, but, being a Christian also means that I cannot condone or financially support sinful behaviors. It is possible to love someone without condoning what they do. Parents have to do this all of the time and Father God feels the same way. I cannot financially support abortion, same sex marriages, or gambling. It is against my faith to do so. I am writing to make this declaration to you because I cannot be included in the sins of this nation or the State of __________ and the choices that you are or anyone else may make as President/government leader at the federal, state, or local levels. I WILL continue to pay my required monies/taxes, but I want to let you know that I do not in any way support the funding of abortions, gay marriages, and the lottery (at the federal, state, and local levels.), or any other sinful actions as well, that my required monies/tax dollars could possibly be used for now or in the future. I designate that none of my required monies/taxes can be used for these purposes based on my religious beliefs from this time forth and even forevermore. Message: Pastors, I've already written to you about separating yourselves from the ungodly practices by writing a letter to the President. I've already given you a list of some of the ungodly practices. The Lord drew my attention to the execution that is approaching in the State of Utah. You'll note God Himself once used this method in the Old Testament through stoning. He changed all that by sending His son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins and repeated the teaching - do not kill. Only 12 states do not have executions plus the District of Columbia. The states that DO NOT have it are: Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Here is a website stating the methods of execution used and if you scroll down you will find each states involvement in that. You are paying for it based on your states involvement. http://www.prodeathpenalty.com/methods.htm Once again I enclose the letter for your protection! Blessings! Message: Dear Friends, The Lord wanted me to correct something and I must obey. It was about secular colleges. I warned you in the Cleansing the House document about attending a secular college. I had to repent for having attended the two that I had attended and for having had the contents of the books in my home. I studied education in both cases - one in Early Childhood Education and a Master's in Educational Administration. The Lord said it would depend on the secular college and it's subject matter. For example, if it's a school with an emphasis on Business or Engineering there would be less risk than attending a liberal arts college or a State University. So, He said just take each situation before the Lord -don't presume and don't assume, because just because it's a college - it doesn't make it right. I hold myself accountable and this is what He instructed me to do. It has always been my intent to help those who may need it and to help them avoid the same pitfalls that I have fallen into. The Lord knows this as well. Blessings! Anita Hiltz
