Hello from Guatemala, Josh here and we wanted to let our church family at home know we are here...already you can feel the power of God and we are excited to start services for the children and adults tomorrow. Just want to thank you for your prayers and I will be back on tomorrow to let you know how things are going.....God bless.
Sunday Morning, June 8, 2008:
Had a great first night, now we are all ready to go to the village and start the puppet ministry. Please remember us in your prayers as always. Tonight Bro. Eddie and Bro. Chris will be preaching so remember them.
Monday Morning, June 9th, 2008:
Well we had our first services last night and we have already seen amazing things from the Lord. Last night between both services we had 73 people accept Jesus Christ as thier personal savior. We also had a healing. Elderly sister who had a stroke and lost the motion and the ability to move her arm came to be prayed for and last night she was able to move it for the first time in a year. We also had a drunken man who came in from a bar from next to the church. He had just bought his beer not to mention how many he had before...he was a little stumbly....but he came and talked to bro bruce and he also came to the lord...and pured out his full beer.....I dont think his drinking buddy was happy...but between us and the angels in heaven...we kinda out numbered the unhappy....well God bless. Keep praying for us.
Tuesday Morning, June 10th:
Hello again from the land down yonder.......We had a great day yester day from moving concrete (and yes dad I did work), to VBS, to the night service. Between VBS and The Night service we had 14 people accept Jesus as their personal savior. After me and eddie preached last night we had another drunkerd (We must attract them here) come and accept Jesus as his personal savior. We had an awesome altar service where the spirit moved to deliverence of depression and many came to altar. Please pray for Eddie´s voive as it has already started to go out....Chris and Eddie will be preaching so as always remember them. Keep praying for us all....hannah, chris, eddie, daisy, larry, sarah, allen, etta, nicole, and hosea. Etta was ill last night so please keep her in your special prayers.
Thursday Morning, June 12th:
Sorry for the delay on getting back on here but we have just been busy. We are alive and well so no worries. The second part of our vbs is doing ggreat as we are at the school now and performing and teaching to them. We are going to the dump this morning where there is many orphans who scower the ground for food and clothes. Tuesday night we were at one of the largest, if not the largest church in guatemala. Far as building this church could have fit 3.5 Green Rivers. What was so amazing when we had altar call was that the whole church came up and prayed and Jesus truly moved in thier lives and ours also. Bro Eddie has said that he thinks that the two biggest needs here has been first deliverance and salvation. continue to pray for us as the last couple of days has shown that we have needed it. Nothing major but we do need your prayers.
Friday Night, June 13:
Hello for the last time on the site...of course we will have plenty of them tomorrow night. To recap the week, we had over two hundred souls saved...Glory be to Jesus. This is the most souls saved in all other mission trips. Yesterday afternoon we visited a dump and when I say dump I mean literaly a dump as where the public trash is....where families actualy live and scower the area and the garbbage trucks for food, clothing, and all their daily needs. There were about one hundred people that lived there and when asked if they had heard about Jesus...thirty percent had never heard the name of our savior Jesus Christ. Today was our day off...our sabbath if you will. We will be leaving in the morning and we need your prayers for a safe flight.....ADIOS AMIGOS!
Saturday 7:30 PM:
Just received phone call from Josh Naylor, the team has landed safely in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sunday 3:15 AM: After a three hour delay in their flight schedule, the mission team arrived home safe and sound.
